Isis
is a spacious, modern and stylish houseboat; it is ideal for
groups and parties and is authorized to carry 10 people.
The boat is restricted to cruising in
the shelter of Brisbane Waters and is not permitted to
travel across the open sea to other areas such as the HawkesburyRiver. Houseboats are restricted to
travelling in daylight hours and are not allowed near wharfs
or jetties unless driven there by the owners. The
dinghy is provided to enable access from the houseboat to
the shore.
We will be pleased to show you how to
operate the boat and in addition we offer you the option of
accompanying you to your destination each day; we can be
there to “show you the ropes” or to just lend a hand, and to
guide you when navigating and mooring. There is no extra
charge for this service. We can inform you of the many
interesting and beautiful places to stay on the water. On
your last day we will return the boat to GosfordWharf for you.
You do not need a boat license to drive a houseboat.

how to drive the boat and use the equipment is provided.
Enlarged maps of Brisbane Waters are supplied with the
boat routes clearly indicated.
The two 60 hp Yamaha engines aid
manoeuvrability and the electric anchor winch enables the
anchor to be raised and lowered automatically. Port,
starboard and rear cameras give all round vision of the
water.
The lower deck is wheelchair
accessible including the helm, bathroom, lounge and
kitchen diner, bedroom and outdoor seating areas
fore and aft.
The upper deck is accessed by a
sturdy staircase with a handrail. 12 volt chargers
are provided to charge nebulizers.
Isis
offers the convenience of a modern kitchen diner
with a microwave, fridge, freezer, gas stove and
oven, toaster and kettle. There is a comprehensive
range of cutlery, crockery, cooking utensils and BBQ
utensils.
The kitchen diner has LCD TV,
CD, DVD, radio and heating.
The spacious entertainment deck
makes an ideal party venue with a large BBQ with hot
plate, grill and an additional side burner for a wok
or pan. There are two sun lounges, shaded outdoor
dining, stereo radio and CD.
There are 3 double beds
in stylish and comfortable
separate rooms with built in wardrobes with
hangers.
There are also 2 sets of
bunk beds in separate areas, offering
comfort, privacy and storage space.

layout illustrates the sleeping arrangements
in more detail.
All bed linen, towels
and tea towels are provided.
Four complimentary
fishing licenses are included together with
crab lines. Fishing rods are available on
request.
Four sit on kayaks are available
on request.
A two way “ship to shore” radio
is provided and a full set of safety equipment
including the dinghy, fire extinguishers, flares and
life jackets.
A range of leaflets and
guides are available on the boat and two
Information Centers are nearby.
We will shop for you
before you arrive and take your provisions
to the boat. Please provide us with 24
hours notice. Less than 12 items
incurs no extra charge. Over 12 items
incurs a charge of $22.00
The generator is optional and powers the
heater, microwave, electric kettle, electric
toaster, iron, and hairdryer and hirers 240
volt mobile phone charger. The generator is
not essential, a gas kettle and toasting
racks are supplied and there are 12
volt chargers to charge a mobile phone.
All food, beverages, personal toiletries, a sharp knife, beach
towels, packed in a soft bag not a suitcase, CD's, DVD's TV
guide, mobile phone and either a car cigarette charger or an
everyday charger that would be recharged by the generator.
Your own fishing tackle and bait or you can hire our rods if you prefer.
Pets, fire hazards such as candles and fireworks.
Coming
by Train? We will be pleased to meet you at Gosford Station and take
you to the boat.
Getting
here by Car?The boat departs from the Jetty at Gosford Public Wharf.
This is opposite Vaughan Avenue in central Gosford. By car
take the Sydney to Newcastle freeway 1. At Kariong
turn onto the Pacific Highway 83, to Gosford, this section
of the Pacific Highway is known as the Central Coast
Highway. The highway passes down a very steep hill,
drive straight on at the traffic lights, keep right for East
Gosford, continue over the bridge, Brisbane Waters is on
your right and the harbour and jetty is in view next to
Iguana Joes. Right turns are restricted, turn into the
car park on your right soon after the harbour and double
back turning into the harbour at Iguana Joes.
